Thomas Edison inspires me because he discovered electricity. Even after he tried to do it 9,999 times and he still persevered. So after he thought about it and put some hard work into it on the next time he tried he discovered the light bulb and electricity. That shows if you persevere you can do anything.  That is why Thomas Edison is the person that inspires me.

If they were making a poster about me I think they should elaborate on how caring I am. I'm caring because I put others before myself.  I am also patient.  I don't get frustrated easily.  The final thing is that I'm friendly and that I'm a good listener.  That is what I think should go on a poster if they made one about me. - QB

 All of these pictures inspire me, but Bethany Hamilton inspired me most out of 57 different pictures of amazing people. Bethany inspired me because after she lost her arm she kept trying and learned to surf with only one arm. She believed in herself and what she loved to do. If I were her I would have given up completely on surfing, she didn't. Bethany had friends and family help her through it. She put all of her effort into surfing and living life normal. I am amazed by Bethany Hamilton.

            I think that if I were recognized for something it would be my effort in school and caring about school. I think that I would be recognized for these things because when I come to school every day I care about my grades and so I do my personal best. If people that do not enjoy school I recommend that they do their best and will soon start to love it. School and your education are very important in your life so be the best that you can be. :) - SM

The one that inspires me is the one that say life is more than a game. The person on that was Shaquille O'Neal and they honored him because of his perseverance and that he went to college and got a great education and then he went to the NBA. Shaq was a great role model because he always tried his best and he never gave up no matter what.  That is the reason that he inspired me. If they made a poster with me on it, it would say something like never give up because I always like to push myself harder, and do my best and always keep trying.  I want to be successful in life an go to college an get an good education and then become famous like Shaq did. - JL

     The pass it on poster that inspired me was the family of Incredibles. The saying is: Your family can do incredible things, too. The reason this inspires me is because my mom gets tired and says she needs help, and no one helps her. When we all help her she is not as tired and we can do more stuff together as a family.  Our family works better as a family rather than one person doing all the work.

      The pass it on poster that would fit me is, one about honesty. It would fit me because I am a very honest person. How I try to pass on honesty is I tell everyone I know to be honest. I say that I would rather get my feelings hurt and know the truth than be happy because of a story. -EA

The pass it on poster I chose was one of a little girl who raised 1,000,000 dollars so that she can help people who have cancer although she also has cancer. She showed an example of INSPIRATION. Many people can follow her example. Her name is Alex Scott. She set an example for me in not only inspiration, but also in ambition, compassion, caring, confidence, and overcoming all of her hardships. -VA

    

The one that inspire me the most is the one that say that life is more than a game cause you should do more in your life than play all day you got to learn in your life too.  If life is always a game you would not learn. Shaquille O`Neal got a good education and graduated from college. He played basketball in the NBA and he kept persevering and he never gave up in his life.  He kept trying. - JL

Teamwork! Student Blogging!

We practice teamwork on a daily basis in our classroom.  Collaborating is just a part of learning.  Check out this amazing video of an Apache helicopter being assembled.  What does this say about teamwork to you?

In the video if they did not use team work it would have taken them like years to build the helicopter.The reason I say that is because even with the video in fast motion it took them kind of along time.Team work in general is when you use cooperation an cooperate with your group and be a good sport and make sure that you agree with all your team members ideas.When you are using team work you are working with a group of people and you all are getting along with each other.

If they wouldn't have used teamwork it would have taken a long time. That is why it's important to use teamwork- you can get things done faster.Team work is awesome!  When you use teamwork that shows you are kind and you want people to help sometimes. I love team work because I like people to help me with some stuff. Teamwork is the best because working together is fun.

In the video they all had certain parts.They also had to use team work.Team work is when every one is cooperating and getting along.With a lot people it took a while before it was done.So if only one person was working on the whole plane it would have took a really long time.

With teamwork you have to be ready to work with others. Like the plane, it would have not gotten built without teamwork. If one person could not get along it would have messed everything up. On many other things teamwork is important. You have to do your best effort with teamwork. With teamwork anything is possible!

Teamwork is when you don't have many problems with the people you are working with. The people in the video weren't yelling, arguing, or fighting cause they were using teamwork to help each other.You use teamwork to get help on things instead of just working on them by yourself.  Sometimes you don't know how to do something and you can't figure it out so you have other people there to help you on it.  When they were building the helicopter in the video the workers never gave up on the thing but, even though it took them a very long time they finished building the helicopter.

I think that teamwork is important because without it it would be very difficult to do many things like, build a helicopter. Team work is when a group of people have to work together to do or make something and they help each other using kind words and motivation.  In the video that we watched in class people had to work together to build a helicopter. Each person had to do their job while also helping others do their's. When you work in a team you have to listen to others ideas carefully, participate and cooperate. I think that team work is very important in class and when you grow up and get a job.    


What I like about teamwork is that we could do it without fussing or arguing. When we did our projects on the landforms we did not fuss.  On that helicopter video they did it without fussing or arguing. I just like the way teamwork is together, it's just like a family putting up a Christmas tree. But when we do it in a learning club sometimes we don't like our groups, but it's not about the groups it's about teamwork.  I think we should say good things to our teammates before starting the assignment. Like we did on our videos for our mixtures and solutions.  First we had to agree on what we had to do, then we got the script ready. We practiced the script over and over.  Then we got it all right.
